JIARE International Students Society

About us and why we are special

The JIARE International Students Society (JISS) is an Association within the Joint International Academies of Research and Education (JIARE), which is a not for profit Organisation registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom. JISS is supported by the Joint International Academies and Associations Collaborating Group. We have been promoting international friendship and celebrating cultural diversity in the Society since 1953.

Aim of JIARE International Student Society.

We want to foster an environment where students can build relationships and network with individuals globally with the aim to create a mindset that promotes awareness, inclusivity, and acceptance of different cultures, traditions and opinions – paving the way for diversity and acceptance of all people. 

With students from 203 countries at our Society, the International Students' Society will create a space where all students feel like they are at home. We want to bring together people from different cultures, backgrounds and perspectives to make the transition to student life less daunting. The JIARE International Student Society is the best place for you to network and make new and lasting friends from all parts of the world.  We pride ourselves in providing warm welcome to everyone who contacted us or visit any of our events. Our Activities

Travels and Trips

We organise travels and excursions to various sites and historical places around the world.  So Travel with us to some of the most beautiful and interesting locations globally for educational values, entertainment and well deserved breaks!

Language Courses

We believe that communication is power.  So we organise and provide different entertaining, friendly, informative and very low priced language courses throughout the year.   Our language courses will also help you to prepare for various international language qualifications like IELTS, TOFEL, Cambridge English Exams etc.

Monthly Socialising Forum

This forum gives students the opportunities to meet new friends and catch up over tea, coffee and board games every last Saturday in a month.

Social Events

JIARE students’ social events are geared towards making chances where people from all over the world can meet, make friends, network and explore each other’s cultures, traditions and way of life. 

Walks

Opportunities to go on walks in various interesting sites and areas globally, as we have representatives all over the world to help with this activity.  

Volunteering opportunities

Students have opportunities to volunteer to represent your country at a local school and promote international friendship and diversity. 

International Families Group

Our International Families’ Group offers a welcoming, warm and supportive atmosphere for families of students globally. 

Paired Family Programme

Experience different Family lives with our host families globally.   This has resulted in the formation of many friendships that have lasted for years and continuing.

BECOME A MEMBER

Membership of the Society is open to all people, which include students and non-students can become members of the Society. All members receive discounts on our trips, language classes and events as well as access to our free member only events and activities.

Membership is FREE to students and staff of JIARE.

Travels, language classes and events are also open to non-members.

ONLINE COMMUNITY
