Sustainable Development Goals at JIARE: The JIARE Guide to the UNSDG Goals
2030 Agenda! UN SDGs! STIs!
At JIARE, the 17 UN Sustainability Goals lie at the heart of our ‘transforming society together’ mission – linked to the specific challenges that exist in each client project and in the transformation of our own operations.
Collaboration between JIARE different areas of expertise and programmes means that we can evaluate different factors and implement the most sustainable solution to our international programmes. We have identified five goals as the most business-critical to our operations and where we have the greatest opportunity to influence, in creating a more sustainable future together with our clients.
Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation via the JIARE World Water Programmes
Goal 7: Sustainable energy for all via the JIARE World Energy and Power Programmes
Goal 9: Sustainable industry, innovation, and infrastructure for all via the JIARE Innovation, Engineering and Technology Programmes
Goal 11: Promote development of sustainable cities and societies via the JIARE Community Development Programmes
Goal 13: Climate action via the JIARE Environmental Programmes
Construction, buildings and urgban areas ( SdGs 11 and 13)
JIARE Groups offers a holistic planning and design approach for tomorrow’s buildings and landscapes. Social sustainability is an essential element of our approach, with the goal of creating a more equal society with the citizens as the focus point. We also offer solutions to reduce cities’ climate impact, create circular flows and adapt to climate change. We endorse biodiversity by planning ecosystem services in our cities, working with green and blue infrastructure, conducting environmental analyses, and protecting nature against invasive alien species.
